Muswell Hill 02:28
Muswell Hill I need to leave ya Because I love her still Crouch End you're full of memories That hurt too much, my friend. North London it's over it's over With a tear in my eye I must say goodbye North London I'm done I am done With this pain I'm no longer having fun Alexandra park on a day like today The city looks so pretty way up here But it reminds me of another beauty One that is no longer here North London it's over it's over With a tear in my eye I must say goodbye North London I'm done I am done With this pain I'm no longer having fun Muswell Hill I need to leave ya

Take me for granted And grant me a wish Walk all over me babe Yes I'll be your bitch Take all that is left From this broken man Just like you do 'cos I still want you It's not that easy I'm still not sleeping Having trouble breathing I'm f**king wheezing Finish what you've started Continue and destroy I will sacrifice my Excuse for a life Take all that is left From this broken man Just like you do 'cos I still need you It's not that easy I'm still not sleeping Having trouble breathing I'm f**king wheezing And Iit feels great receiving head But in the morning I wish I could CTRL-Z Another night in another bed Does nothing to help me forget It's not that easy I'm still not sleeping Having trouble breathing I'm f**king wheezing

Belongings 04:09
When I look straight in your eyes It comes flooding back, too much to hide Pack all your things, your belongings You're heading south of the river I think I'm over you, and I'm strong but These feelings, they make me shiver I was never good at good bye's Now you're a memory in my mind Pack all your things, your belongings You're heading south of the river I think I'm over you, and I'm strong but These feelings, they make me shiver Pack all your things, your belongings You're heading south of the river I think I'm over you, and I'm strong but These feelings, they make me shiver oh oh, oh woah oh oh wowa-oh, oh wo-oh oh... I can deal with losing a lover again But this feels like I might be losing a friend

I was taught to be honest all of the time It's the way all great poets write all of their lines But it hurts a lot and I can't move on These songs won't help me find a pretty blond Let this be the last love song Please let me be wrong about this one Let this be the last love song Please let me be wrong about this one So if I sing another verse about being broken Come tell me sonny jim you must be joking No one wants to hear a bloody misery it won't help me find a pretty brunette you see Let this be the last love song Please let me be wrong about this one Let this be the last love song Please let me be wrong about this one So here we go the last painful rhyme I'm still in love after all this time No one needs to know, let's hide it away Let's not pine over my ginger girl Please let this be the last love song Let me be wrong about this one

One Day 03:42
Darling, i know That you are hurting Yes I know You're in a bad way But this is something That you'll need to fix alone God knows I did try To help you One day you'll awake from this deep depression And then realise that you, you love me And when that day comes, jump on a plane come visit me I will have moved on and settled down Settled down for second best For second best won't mess me around Goodbye, I'm sorry You know i tried I gave you much more Than you deserved One day you'll awake from this deep depression And then realise that you, you love me And when that day comes, jump on a plane come visit me I will have moved on and settled down Settled down for second best For second best won't mess me around And when that day comes jump on a plane come visit me Things will not be the same, no I will have settled down Settled down for second best For second best won't mess me around

Maths 03:24
I didn't achieve at maths although I tried But i can take one hundred and subtract eighty five Still you're throwing all this away for Fifteen percent of doubt you say You know you're a fool, but you like the trauma Oh what would you analyse with out a dilemma Oh you need me Cash and June and deep down you know this Oh Better than medicine or therapy... Girl that is me I get that you're a coward and that's fine But after a few Jameson ginger ale and lime guaranteed I will tell you that You'll not be happy till you take me back You know you're a fool, but you like the trauma Oh what would you analyse with out a dilemma Oh you need me Cash and June and deep down you know this Oh Better than medicine or therapy... Girl that is me

Part Of You 02:17
As time passes on You need them less But love them more As time passes by There something in you That is in me I have nothing to prove I am part of you And that time will come When I'll see you no more You'll still be in my mind Like an aged sun faded tattoo There something in you That is in me I have nothing to prove I am part you Young at heart But these lines on you face Tell a beautiful tale I'm in the lead role There something in you That is in me I have nothing to prove I am part you

about

Alt.country, boy-girl heartbreak vocals & plenty of pedal steel guitar.

The Saturday Boy started off as a solo project but quickly grew into a fully fledged band effort with top London musicians. Live you can expect harmonies, atmospheric guitar and lots of pedal steel bringing that country sound to a distinctly english songwriting style.

about

The Saturday Boy London, UK

Retaining their trademark warm alt-country sounds, brutally honest lyrics and plenty of pedal steel guitar, The Saturday Boy are also pushing boundaries with their second release. “Stormy Skies” edges close to John Martyn/Nick Drake territory, the epic gloomy indie rock of “Table Decorations” is reminiscent of The National, radio friendly melodic pop choruses feature on “Lightweight Lover” ... more
